1.  \frac{-2}{3} - \frac{4}{3}

Here, we'll not subtract by using cross - multiplication method because the denominators of both the fractions are same.

So, we'll directly subtract - 2 from - 4 keepin' the denominator same. As,

 \frac{-2}{3} - \frac{4}{3}

=>  \frac{-2 - 4}{3}

=>  \frac{-6}{3}

=>  \frac{\cancel{-6}}{\cancel{3}}

=> - 2

2.  \dfrac{\dfrac{1}{125}}{\dfrac{1}{216}}

=>  \frac{1}{125} \times \frac{216}{1}

=>  \frac{216}{125}

=>  \frac{6 \times 6 \times 6}{5 \times 5 \times 5}

As 125 and 216 are perfect cubes of 5 and 6 respectively.

=>  \frac{6^3}{5^3}
