Answer: 2/3 or 0.666

2/3 + 5a =4

first, we keep the variables on one side and the constants on the other

5a= 4- 2/3

Taking an L.C.M on the right side, we get

5a= (12-2)/ 3

5a=10/3

now we keep the variable 'a' on one side by taking the 5 on to the right side which makes it,

a= (10/3)/5

a=10/(3*5)

a=10/15

a= 2/3

or

a=0.66
