Answer:

4x+ y

Explanation:

a) in 1st hour-

speed= x km/h

time= 1 hour , so distance= speed/time

distance= x km

b) in 2nd hour

speed = x+2y km/h

time= 1 hour

distance = x+2y km

c) in 3rd hour

speed = 2x-y km/h

time= 1 hour

distance = 2x-y km

total distance = (x)+ (x+2y) +( 2x-y)

= x+x+2x+2y-y 》 4x+y
