Answer:

(2,3) is not a solution of equation 3x-2y-7=0.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The expression is 3x-2y-7=0

The solution of the equation is (2,3).

To find : We have to give reason for the solution of the given expression.

Solution :

  • It is given that the given expression is 3x-2y-7=0.
  • The solution of the equation is (2,3) .
  • We have to give reason for the solution of the given expression.
  • The given expression contains the variables x and y and the values of x and y is given as  (2,3).
  • If these values of x and y satisfies the given solution, then the solution of the given expression is correct.
  • We have to put x=2 and y=3 in given expression and have to check whether L.H.S. = R.H.S. or not.
  • The equation becomes,

            3x-2y-7=0

    ∴ 3*2-2*3-7=0

             ∴ 6-6-7=0

                     ∴ -7=0

                ∴ L.H.S. ≠ R.H.S.

  • (2,3) is not a solution of equation 3x-2y-7=0.

(2,3)is not the solution of the given equation 3x-2y-7.

Here x =2 and y = 3

Putting value in L. H. S,

= 3×2 -2×3-7

= 6-6-7

= -7

In R.H.S , =0

Therefore L. H. S is not equal to R.H.S
