बहादुर शाह ज़फर (1775-1862) भारत में मुग़ल साम्राज्य के आखिरी शहंशाह थे और उर्दू के माने हुए शायर थे। उन्होंने १८५७ का प्रथम भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में भारतीय सिपाहियों का नेतृत्व किया। युद्ध में हार के बाद अंग्रेजों ने उन्हें बर्मा (अब म्यांमार) भेज दिया जहाँ उनकी मृत्यु हुई।
