then it's part in mud will be 2/3x

part in water will be 2/7 x

given part above water is 5 metres.

So,Part above water = Total length - ( part in mud + part in water)

x- ( 2/3x + 2/7x)= 5m

x- ( 14x+6x/ 21)= 5

x- ( 20x/21)=5

x/1- 20x/21=5

21x-20x/21= 5

x=5×21

x= 105m

hence, total length will be 105 metre.
