We have to find, the ratio girls to boys in the class = ?

Solution:

We know that,

The number of girls of a class + The number of boys of a class = 1

∴ The number of boys of a class = 1 - The number of girls of a class

= 1 - $\dfrac{2}{3}$

= $\dfrac{3-2}{3}$

= $\dfrac{1}{3}$

∴ The ratio girls to boys in the class = $\dfrac{2}{3}$ : $\dfrac{1}{3}$

Multiplying by 3, we get

= $\dfrac{2}{3}\times 3$ : $\dfrac{1}{3}\times 3$

= 2 : 1

Thus, The ratio girls to boys in the class = 2 : 1
