2/3 of lahari's money is equal to 5/6 of tanya's money. what fraction of her money must lahari give to tanya so that they both have the same amount of money

In the above question, it is given that , 2/3 rd of Lahari's money is equal to 5/6 th of tanya's money. Now, Lahari gives some of her money to Tanvi as so they have an equal amount of money . We need to find that fractio of money which was transferred to equal the ratios.

Let us assume that , The amount of money Lahari has is Rs. x

So, 2/3 rd of x = 5/6 th of Tanya ' s money .

> Tanya ' s money = 2/3 * 6/5 x

> Tanya ' s money = 4/5 x

Let us assume that , Lahari gave an amount of Rs. a to equal the amounts ,

So,

x - a = 4/5 x + a

> 2a = x - 4/5 x

> 2a = x/5

> a = x/10.

Thus, Lahari must have given 1/10 th of her money to equal their amounts.
