Answer:

2(3^x) + 3(2^y) =12 -----------(1)

3^x =2^y +1 ------------(2)

put the value of 3^x in equation (1)

2(3^x) +3(2^y ) = 12

2( 2^y+ 1) + 3( 2^y) =12

2(2^y) +2(1) +3(2^y) = 12

2(2^y) +3(2^y) =12 - 2

2^y( 2+3) = 10

2^y(5)=10

2^y = 10/5

2^y= 2^1

hence,

y = 1

now, put the value of y in eq.(2)

3^x = 2^y +1

3^x = 2^1 +1

3^x = 2 +1 = 3

so , 3^x = 3^1

therefore,x= 1

Hence the value of X and Y is 1
