Step-by-step explanation:

 \frac{2}{3x + 10}  =  \frac{1}{x - 1}

 = > 3x + 10 = (x - 1) \times 2

  =  > 3x + 10 = 2x - 2

 =  > 3x - 2x =  - 2 - 10

 =  > x =  - 12

The value of x is -12.

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

\sf \longmapsto \dfrac{2}{3x + 10}  =  \dfrac{1}{x - 1}

Now,cross multiply to both sides:

\sf \longmapsto2(x - 1) = 1(3x + 10)

=>expanding the terms :

\sf \longmapsto2x - 2 = 3x + 10

Now, arranging the terms making Variable and constant terms together:

\sf \longmapsto2x - 3x = 10 + 2

\sf \longmapsto - x = 12

\sf \longmapsto  \bold{x =  - 12}

Check:

\sf \longmapsto \dfrac{2}{3x + 10}  =  \dfrac{1}{x - 1}

\sf \longmapsto \dfrac{2}{3( - 12) + 10}  =  \dfrac{1}{ - 12 - 1}

\sf \longmapsto \dfrac{2}{ - 36 + 10}  =  \dfrac{1}{ - 13}

\sf \longmapsto \dfrac{2}{ - 26}  =  -  \dfrac{1}{13}  =  -  \dfrac{1}{13}

∴LHS=RHS (verified)
