Question :

 \dfrac{2}{3x}  + 9 =  \dfrac{3}{4}  - 7

  • Find the value of x

Solution :

 \dfrac{2}{3x}  + 9 =  \dfrac{3}{4}  - 7

 \implies \:  \dfrac{(2 + 27x)}{3x}  =  \dfrac{(3 - 28)}{4}

 \implies \: 4(2 + 27x) = 3x(3 - 28)

 \implies \: 8 + 108x = 9x  \:  -  \: 84x

 \implies \: 8 = -75x-108x

 \implies \: x =  \dfrac{-183}{8}

  • Therefore, the value of x is -183/8
