First we add

3x? + 2y?, -x?. 4y? + 2xy and 6xy + 2x? -3y”.

3x? + 2y? - x? - Ay? + 2xy + xy + 2x? - 3y”

= ( 3x? - x? + 2x’) + ( 2y? - 4y? - 3y”) + ( 2xy + Bxy)
= 4x? - By? + 8xy

Now, we subtract

-5x? + 2y? - 3xy. from 4x? - 5y? + 8xy

( 4x? - 5y? + 8xy) - (-5x? + 2y? - 3xy)

= 4? - By? + 8 xy + 5x? - 2y? + 3xy [ Sign of terms
changed ]

= ( 4x? + 5x?) + ( -5y? - 2y?) + ( 8xy + 3xy) [ Like
terms are grouped ]

= 9x? - 7y? + Mxy [ We add like terms ]
