Let's do it,

→ 2(3y - 5) - 2 = 3(y - 3)

→ 6y - 10 - 2 = 3y - 9

→ 6y - 12 = 3y - 9

→ 6y - 3y = -9 + 12

→ 3y = 3

→ y = 3/3

y = 1

Hence,

  • the value of y is 1.
