Answer:

Let the ratio of the numbers be 5x and 2x

according to question,

5x - 2x = 66

or 3x = 66

or x = 66/3

or x = 22

Therefore, the 1st no = 2x = 2 × 22 = 44

and 2nd no = 5x = 5 × 22 = 110

Ratio of the numbers=2:5

Let the numbers be 5x and 2x respectively.

(5x-2x)

ATQ,

5x-2x=66

⇒3x=66

⇒x=22

⇒2x=44

⇒5x=22*5=110

So the numbers can be 44 and 110

(there can be another answer unless you specify that it is 2x-5x or 5x-2x)

The other answer,

ATQ,

2x-5x=66

⇒-3x=66

⇒x=-22

2x=2*-22=-44

5x=5*-22=-110

So the numbers can also be -44 and -110

The numbers can be 44 and 110; -44 and -110
