We have to find the amount of soil required to fill the container

Solution:

Let the container total volume be x

Then      2/5 kg    -     x/3

               y kg       -     x

By cross multiplication,

$y=\frac{2}{5}x/\frac{x}{3}$

$y = \frac{6}{5}$

∴The full container hold 6/5 kilogram of soil.
