Solution ;

  \sf  \frac{2}{5} (m - 2) +  \frac{3}{10} (m + 2) = 24 \\  \\ \sf  \frac{2}{5} m -  \frac{4}{5}  +  \frac{3}{10} m +  \frac{6}{10}  = 24 \\  \\ \sf \frac{2}{5} m +  \frac{3}{10} m = 24 +  \frac{4}{5}  -  \frac{6}{10}  \\  \\ \sf  \frac{4m + 3m}{10}  =  \frac{240  + 8 - 6}{10}  \\  \\ \sf  \frac{7m}{10}  =  \frac{242}{10}  \\  \\ \sf 7m = 242 \\  \\ \sf m =  \frac{242}{7}  = 34.5

Verification :

Putting the value of m = 34.5,

\sf  \frac{2}{5} (34.5 - 2) +  \frac{3}{10} (34.5 + 2) = 24 \\  \\\sf  \frac{2}{5} (32.5) +  \frac{3}{10} (36.5) = 24 \\  \\ \sf  \frac{65}{5}  +  \frac{1095}{100}  = 24 \\  \\ \sf  \frac{1300 + 1095}{100}  = 24 \\  \\  \sf 23.95   \neq 24 \\  \\ 24 = 24(approx)
