Step-by-step explanation:

Number of students coming by car= 2/5

Number of students coming by bus= 1/4

Number of students walk to school (own)= 1/3

= 224

Number of students walk to school (parents)= x

Let total number of students be Y

THEREFORE,

2/5+1/4+1/3+x =1

24/60+15/60+20/60+60x/60= 1

(59+60x)/60= 1

59+60x= 60

60x= 60-59

x = 1/60

SO, Y×(1/3) = 224

Y = 224×3

Y = 672

SO,

Number of students coming by car

= (2/5)×672

= 268.8 students

Number of students coming by bus

= (1/4)×672

= 168 students

Number of students walk to school (parents)

= (x)×672

= (1/60)×672

= 11.2 students

Number of students walk to school (own)

= 22
