Let number of students in school be x
then x/ 3 students come school walking
here it is given that number of students who come to school walking is 224
then x/3=224
x= 672
There are 672 students in the school

let the total no. of students be x
number of students who come by car = 2x/5
number of students who come by bus = x/4
number of students who come by walk = x - (2x/5 + x/4) = x - 13x/20 = 7x/20
number of students who come by walk on their own = (7x/20)/3 = 224
                                                                                   =7x/60 = 224
                                                                Acc,
                                                                x = 224×60÷7 = 1920
