Hey

Here is your answer,

Let , Total number of students study in school = x
And
2/5 of the total number of the students in the school come by car .
So,
Total number of the students in the school come by car = 2x/5

And
1/4 of the total number of the students in the school come by bus.
So,
Total number of the students in the school come by bus = x/4

Also given : All the other students walk to school . So

Total number of students walk to school = x - 2x/5 - x/4 = 20x − 8x − 5x. / 20 = 7x/20

As given : Students walk to school of which 1/3 walk on their own . So

Total number of students come to school on their own = 1/3×7x/20 = 7x/60

Given : Total number of students come to school on their own = 224 , So

7x/60 = 224
⇒x = 2247 × 60
⇒x = 32 × 60
⇒x = 1920
So,
Total number of students study in school = 1920

Hope it helps you!
