But in a question In stoichiometry I find that 1: 2.5 is continued to 4:10
So how will I rectify
which one to round up and which one I should leave at decimals?

every decimal should be rounded off for simplicity......but in the above case, as you said, it is not rounded off.......1:2.5 is multiplied by 4,so as to get a simple ratio of 4:10 or 2:5
