Answer:

given (a+1)(b+1)=0

p(x)=x2-p(x+1)-c

x2 - px - p -c

x2 - px -( p+c)

as per question

(a+1)(b+1)=0

= ab + a +b +1 =0 ~eq 1

a and b are the zeroes of the polynomial so

(a+b)= -(-p)=p.

ab= -p+c

putting these values in eq 1

-p +c +p + 1=0

c + 1=0

c = -1

hope it helps
