2/7+3/7 = 5/7

7/7-5/7=2/7

2/7*21

Question : 2/7th of the flowers in a vase are red, 3/7 th of them are white and the rest are yellow. If the vase has 21 flowers, then how many flowers are yellow?

Answer : 6 flowers

Step by step explanation :

Given :

There are 21 flowers in the vase.

Number of red flowers are 2/7 of total number of flowers

= (2/7) × 21

= 6

Number of white flowers are 3/7 of total number of flowers

=( 3/7 ) × 21

= 9

Therefore,

Number of yellow flowers =

= 21 - ( 9 + 6 )

= 21 - 15

= 6

Number of yellow flowers = 6 flowers
