√2-8√2 =? can anyone tell me the answer of this, and I want detailed solution with each and every step.

Is the answer -7√2, if yes then how did you got the answer? ​

Just checkout the like terms out! If they are the same numbers you could easily minus it from the other checking the signs. Let me make it more simple to you.

Imagine if the numbers was 8x-7x

You can easily minus 8 from 7 as both of them has same variable 'x'.

Taking the same situation out in this case: 8x-7y

Now you cant minus 8 from 7. why?

because their variables are different.

So basically in your case, 2-82 you can see that the '2' on both sides. in the first term '2' means 12 so by decreasing 1 from 8 we get -7 and while putting the 2 we get -72.
