8. Out of the fractions 5/7,4/9,6/11,2/5and3/4
find the difference between the largest fraction and the smallest fraction. I WANT FULL SOLUTION .ANSWER IS 11/35​

To Find:-

• Difference between smallest and largest fraction:

Solution:-

• To calculate the difference between largest and smallest fraction at first we have to find the smallest and largest fraction among the given fraction , to find the fraction at first we have to make the denominator of the given fraction same then comparing the fraction by comparing we get the smallest and largest fraction among the given fraction. Then calculate the difference between largest and smallest fraction:]

Take lcm of denominator of all fraction:-

• Lcm of 7, 9, 11, 5, 4

7|7, 9, 11, 5, 4

9|1, 9, 11, 5, 4

11 |1, 1, 11, 5, 4

5 |1, 1, 1, 5, 4

2 | 1, 1, 1, 1, 4

2 | 1, 1, 1, 1, 2

| 1, 1, 1, 1, 1

so, Lcm of 7, 9, 11, 5, 4=7 × 9 × 11 × 5 × 2 × 2=13860

For the first fraction:-

=>5/7=(Here we have divide 13860÷7=1980)

=>5/7=(here multiple by 1980 in N and D)

=>5/7= 5 × 1980/7 ×1980=>9900/13860

For the second fraction:-

=>4/9=(similarly 13860÷9=1540)

=>4/9=4 × 1540/9 × 1540=>6160/13860

For the third fraction:-

=>6/11=(similarly 13860÷11=1260

=>6/11=6 × 1260/11 × 1260=>7560/13860

For the fourth fraction:-

=>2/5=(similarly 13860÷5=2772)

=>2/5=2 ×2772/5 ×2772=>5444/13860

For the fifth fraction:-

=>3/4=(similarly 13860÷4=3465)

=>3/4=3 × 3465/4 ×3465=>10395/13860

• By calculating we get the largest fraction is 3/4 and the smallest fraction is 2/5:-]

Here, the position of the largest fraction=Fifth

Here the position of the smallest fraction=Fourth

• Now calculate difference between it fraction:-]

=>Difference=3/4 - 2/5

=>Difference=15 - 8/20

=>Difference= 7/20
