For example, 2 and 3 are two prime numbers. Factors of 2 are 1, 2 and factors of 3 are 1, 3. The only common factor is 1 and hence is co-prime. Any two successive numbers/ integers are always co-prime: Take any consecutive number such as 2, 3 or 3, 4 or 5, 6 and so on; they have 1 as their HCF.

Answer:

2 and 9 are coprime (relatively, mutually prime) - if they have no common prime factors, that is, if their greatest (highest) common factor (divisor), gcf, hcf, gcd, is 1.

Approach 1. Integer numbers prime factorization. Approach 2. Euclid's algorithm.
