Explanation:

Dimensions of Park = 125 m × 65 m

width of path = 3 m

{ As the path runs around a rectangular path , so it's shape is also rectangular }

To find the dimensions of the path ,

width should be added two times length and breadth of park ( diagram is given in photo )

So , the dimensions of path are ,

= 131 m × 71 m

Hence , ar.path = (ar. larger rectangle) - (ar. smaller triangle )

ar.path = (131 × 71) - (125 × 65)

= 9301 - 8125

= 1176 m^2 { ANSWER }

ar of path = ar of outer Rectangle - ar of inner rectangle

=> ar of path = (125+3+3)×(65+3+3) - (125×65)

=> ar of path = 131×71 - 125×65

=> ar of path = 9301 - 8125

=> ar of path = 1176 m
