Given:-

  • A 30 m long ladder is leaned against the top of the pole. If the bottom of ladder is
  • 24 m away from the base of the pole on the ground.

To find:-

  • Height of the pole.

Solution:-

According to the question,

⇛ h² = p² + b²

⇛ p = √h² - b²

⇛ √30² - 24²

⇛ √900 - 576

⇛ √324

18 m

Hence,

  • the height of the pole is 18 m.

Therefore,

  • Option (2) is correct.
