✎Given,

We need to solve this linear equation in a -

3a + 2(a - 9) = 6 - (2a - 3)

✎STEP 1

\implies 3a + 2a - 18 = 6 - 2a + 3 \\

✎STEP 2

\implies 3a + 2a + 2a = 18 + 6 + 3 \\

STEP 3

 \implies 7a = 27

Now, dividing throughout by 7,we get,

\implies \frac{7a}{7}  =  \frac{27}{7}  \\ \implies a =  \frac{27}{7}

Therefore,the value of a is 27/7.

WHAT IS A LINEAR EQUATION?

Linear equation is an equation between or one variable that gives a straight line when plotted on a graph.

Usually,there are two types of linear equations :

  • Linear Equation in One Variable- The linear equation which involves a single variable (e.g. x ).
  • Linear Equation in Two Variable- The linear equation which involves two different variables, where the value of the two variables can be different or same (e.g. x and y).

heya mate ☺

3a + 2(a - 9) = 6 - (2a - 3) \\  =  > 3a + 2a - 18 = 6 - 2a + 3 \\  =  > 5a - 18 = 9 - 2a \\  =  > 5a + 2a = 9 + 18 \\  =  > 7a = 27 \\  =  > a = 27 \div 7 \\  =  > a = 3.857
