Given
- A ball is projected vertically
- Initial Velocity = 50 m/s
To Find
- Maximum height reached
- Time taken
- The velocity of the ball at its maximum height
Solution
● v²-u² = 2gs
● v = u + gt
✭ Maximum Height Reached :
→ v²-u² = 2gs
→ 0²-50² = 2 × (-10) × s
→ -2500 = -20s
→ -2500/-20 = s
→ Maximum Height = 125 m
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
✭ Time taken :
→ v = u + gt
→ 0 = 50 + (-10) × t
→ -50 = -10t
→ -50/-10 = t
→ Time = 5 sec
- Also the Velocity of the ball at its maximum height would be zero. This is because, of it had any other Velocity except 0 then it would cover some more distance.
