Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1-  Multiply the denominator by the whole number= 4×2=8

Step 2- Add the answer from Step 1 to the numerator = 8+3=11

Step 3- Write answer from Step 2 over the denominator = 11/4

Step 1 -  Multiply the denominator by the whole number = 6×1=6

Step 2- Add the answer from Step 1 to the numerator= 6+4=10

Step 3- Write answer from Step 2 over the denominator = 10/6

Step 1-The fractions have unlike denominators. First, find the Least Common Denominator(LCM) and rewrite the fractions with the common denominator.

LCM of 4&6=12

Multiply both the numerator and denominator of each fraction by the number that makes its denominator equal the LCD. This is basically multiplying each fraction by 1.

(11/4×33)+(10/6×22)=?

Complete the multiplication and the equation becomes

33/12+20/12=?

The two fractions now have like denominators so you can add the numerators.

Then:

33/12+20/12=53/12

This fraction cannot be reduced.

The fraction

53/12

is the same as

53÷12

Convert to a mixed number using

long division for 53 ÷ 12 = 4R5, so

53/12=4 5/12
