Solution :

Diesel needed to travel 1 km = x

Diesel needed to travel 9 km = 1 litre

1x = 9

x = 9 ÷ 1

x = 9

Diesel needed to travel 504 km =(504 ÷ 9) l

= 56 litre

Ans : 56 litre of diesel is required by the bus to travel 504 km.

Answer:

Diesel needed by the bus for travelling 9 km = 1 l

Diesel needed by it for travelling 1 km

 =  \frac{1}{9}  \: l \\

Diesel needed by it for travelling 504 km

 =  (\frac{1}{9}  \times 504) \: l \\  =  \frac{504}{9} \:  l  \\  = 56 \: l

The bus needs 56 l of diesel to travel 504 km.
