In the above Question , the following information is given -

A bus covers 100 km in first 2 hours, 64 km in the next 1 hour and 72 km in the next 2 hour .

To find -

Find the average speed of the bus during the whole Journey.

Solution -

Here ,

A bus covers 100 km in first 2 hours, 64 km in the next 1 hour and 72 km in the next 2 hour .

Now ,

Total distance covered by the bus -

=> 100 km + 64 km + 72 km

=> 326 km

Total time taken for the bus to cover this distance -

=> 2 hrs + 1 hrs + 2 hrs

=> 5 hrs .

Now , we know that -

Average Speed -

=> [ Total Distance travelled ] / [ Total time taken ]

=> [ 326 km ] / [ 5 hrs ]

=> 65.2 kmph.

Thus , the average speed of the bus is 62.5 kmph .

This is the required Answer ...

\huge\sf\purple{Steps}

≫ Total Distance travelled = 100 + 64 + 72 = 326 km

≫ Total Time = 5 hours

Average Speed

\underline{\boxed{\sf Average = \dfrac{Total \: Distance}{Total \: Time}}}

\sf \dfrac{326}{5}
