where,

  • s = Distance,
  • u = Initial velocity,

  • t = Time taken.

∴ s = (20 m/s)(5 s) + ½(2 m/s²)(5 s)²

→ s = 100 m + ½(2 m/s²)(25 s²)

→ s = 100 m + ½(50 m)

→ s = 100 m + 25 m

→ s = 125 m

It covered 125 metres.
