hello dear ❤️

\huge\bold\pink\bigstar{Answer}

u = 0,      a = 0.1 m/sec²        t = 120 sec = 2minutes

equation of motion :  v = u + a t = 0 + 0.10 * 120 = 12 m/sec

s = u t + 1/2 a t² = 0 + 1/2 * 0.10 * 120² = 720 meters

I hope it helps you dear ❤️

\checkmark Given:

A bus starting from rest moves with a acceleration of 0.1 m/s² for 2 min

\checkmark To Find:

  • the speed acquired
  • the distance travelled

\checkmark Solution:

We know that,

\red{\bigstar \ \boxed{\rm v=u+at}}

Here,

  • v = final velocity
  • u = initial velocity
  • a = acceleration
  • t = time

According to the question,

We are asked to find the speed acquired

So, we must find "v"

Given that,

A bus starting from rest moves with a acceleration of 0.1 m/s² for 2 min

Hence,

  • a = 0.1 m/s²
  • t = 2 min = 120 sec
  • u = 0 m/s [starts from rest]

Substituting the values,

We get,

\blue{\rm \implies v=0+(0.1 \times 120) \ m/s}

\green{\rm \implies v=0.1 \times 120 \ m/s}

\red{\rm \implies v=12 \ m/s}

Therefore,

\star Speed acquired = 12 m/s

We know that,

\pink{\bigstar \ \boxed{\rm s=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^{2}}}

Here,

  • s = distance
  • u = initial distance
  • t = time
  • a = acceleration

According to the question,

We are asked to find the distance travelled

So, must find "s"

Given that,

A bus starting from rest moves with a acceleration of 0.1 m/s² for 2 min

Hence,

  • a = 0.1 m/s²
  • t = 2 min = 120 sec
  • u = 0 m/s [starts from rest]

Substituting the values,

We get,

\blue{\rm \implies s=0(120)+\dfrac{1}{2} \times 0.1 \times (120)^{2} \ m}

\green{\rm \implies s= \dfrac{1}{2} \times 0.1 \times (120)^{2} \ m}

On further simplification,

We get,

\pink{\rm \implies s=720 \ m}

Therefore,

\star Distance travelled = 720 m
