On 36 litres of petrol, the car covers =522 km

On 1 litre of petrol the car covers       =36522 km

                                                               =14.5 km

So, on 14 litres, the car can cover   =14×14.5 km

                                                               =203 km

Answer:

2) 203 km can be covered on 14 liters of petrol

Solution:

Given that car can cover distance of 522 km in 36 liters of petrol

To find: distance covered on 14 liters of petrol

Let us first find how many kilometers can be covered with 1 liter of petrol

⇒ 522 km in 36 liters of petrol

Therefore for 1 liter of petrol, distance covered is given as:

522/36 = 14.5

Thus for 1 liter of petrol, 14.5 kilometer can be covered

To find the distance covered on 14 liters of petrol

Therefore for 14 liter of petrol, distance covered is given as:

14*14.5 = 203

Thus 203 km can be covered on 14 liters of petrol

3) If the question is to find 13.5 kg then

Solution : -

Given,

Weight of 6 sheets of paper = 162 g

To find number of sheet weighing 13.5 kg.

We convert kg into grams,

13.5 x 1000 = 13500 g

now,

weight of 1 sheet of paper = weight of 6 sheets of papers / number of papers

                                          = 162 / 6

                                          = 27 g

:. Weight of 1 sheet of paper = 27 g

Now,

Number of sheets weighing 13.5 kg = Given Weight / weight of 1 sheet

                                                         = 13500 / 27

                                                         = 500

:. Number of sheets weighing 13.5 kg are 500 sheets.
