2. A car is travelling with a speed of 36km/h. The driver applied the brakes and retards the

  • Vf = 0
  • Time taken = t = 5 sec
  • Acceleration =?
  • Distance covered = S =?

For acceleration

a = v/t

a = 10 /5

Acceleration = 2 m/s^2

And

For distance we have,

S = Vit + 1/2 ( at^2)

S = 10 × 5 + 1/2 ( 2×5^2)

S = 50 + 1/2 (50)

S = 50 + 25

Distance = 75 meters
