SOLUTION:-

☛Worth of car in 2016 =

300000 \times ( \frac{5}{100} )

 = Rs.285000

☛Worth of car in 2017 =

285000 - 285000 \times ( \frac{5}{100} )

 = Rs. 270750

☛ Wort of car in 2018

270750 - 270750( \frac{5}{100} )

 { \boxed{ \red{ \bf{= Rs. 255000}}}}

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:{ \bf{ or}}

{ \bf{ \underline{Given:-}}}

  • P= 300000
  • r = 5
  • n = 3

{ \bf{ \underline{Solution:-}}}

By applying formulae,

{ \mathtt{ \green{a = p  \times (1 -   \frac{r}{100} }{ \green{)}}^{n}}}

where,

{ \mathtt{ \pink{a = final \: value \: of \: n \: year}}}

{ \mathtt{ \pink{p = initial \: value}}}

{ \mathtt{ \pink {r = rate \: of \: depreciation}}}

By putting the given values in the formulae, we get

a = 300000 \times (1 -  { \frac{5}{100} })^{3}

 = 300000 \times ( \frac{19}{20} ) \times ( \frac{19}{20} ) \times ( \frac{19}{20}

{ \boxed { \bf{ \red{Rs.255000}}}}

So worth of car in year 2018 is Rs.

2,55,000
