2. A chessboard is made up of 64 squares (32 black and
32 white). The area of each such square in a chessboard is
6.25 cm. The border around the board is 1 cm wide. Find the
area and perimeter of the chessboard.​

Answer:

Total Squares = 64

Length = (64 x 6.25) + 2 (border) = Breadth

Length = Breadth = 402cm

Perimeter = 4 x 402 = 1604cm

Area = 402 x 402 = 1,61,604 sq cm or 1.6 sq m
