let OE= xcm and Let oc= radius of the circle = acm
in OCE, applying paythagoras theorem we have
OE²+CE²= a²
X²+8²= a²........(1)
also we have ,OE+EB= OB= radius of the circle = a
x+4= a
(x+4)²= a².......(2)
from equation (1) and (2) we have
x²+8²= (x+4)²
x²+64= x²+16+8x
64= 16+8x
16+8x= 64
8x= 64-16
8x= 48
x= 48/8 = 6
Thus the, radius of the circle is a = x+4= 6+4=10cm
