Because the cube is on top of the cuboid we have tpo minus the area of the cube face that is on the bottom and part of the cuboid top face.

So: actual cube surface area=5p^{2}

Top cuboid face area: 3p^{2}-p^{2}=2p^{2}

Whole cuboid surface area is: 13p^{2}

Therfore total surface are of the whole shape=
