Answer: Length of field = 140 m

Breadth = 36 m

Find the area of field :-

Area of rectangle = (Length × Breadth) sq. units

= (140 × 36) m²

= 5040 m²

Find the number of labourers are to be engaged to plough the field in a day :-

We know,

1 labourer can plough 120 sq. m in a day.

120 m² = 1 labourer

5040 m² = (1 × 5040)/120 = 42 labourers

Hence,

42 labourers are to be engaged to plough the field in a day.

Answer:

Length of the field = 140 m

breadth of the field = 36 m

  1. Its area = 140×36 = 5040 m sq

if 120m sq is ploughed by a labourer in day

the no. of labourers to plough the field in a day = 5040/120 = 42 ANS
