Length of the flier = 6m

Breadth of the floor = 5m

Area of the floor= l×b(area formula of a rectangle)

= 6m ×5m

=30m^2

Area of the carpet= side (s) ×side(s) ( area formula of the square)

4m×4m

=16m^2

To find the area of the floor which is not carpeted.we have to minus(-) the area of carpet from the area of the floor.

30m^2 - 16m^2

=14m^2

:.Hence the not carpeted area is 14m^2
