2. A gold bar has a mass of 7.6 g. What is its apparent weight in water ? Take density of gold as
19 g/cc.​

Given,mass:gold bar=7.6g

density of gold =19g/cc

Apparent weight=W-Wb

where W=7.6g(weight of gold bar)

Density =Mass/Volume

Volume =mass/density =7.6/19 =0.4cc

Mass of 0.4cc volume of water(m)=density×Volume

=1×0.4cc

=0.4g

weight =0.4g wt

therefore, Apparent weight=W-Wb

=7.6-0.4

=7.2g
