The mixture containing chalk powder and water is allowed to get filtered. After filtration, the retentate obtained is chalk and the fittrate obtained is water with out chalk.

(i) First we will take a glass full of water then we will put the mixture of mustard seeds and powered common Salt will be dissolved and mustard seeds will be left. Hance, separated.

(iii) It is to separate sand and water by filtration the mixture.salt can be separated from a solution through evaporation. The water can also be recover as well as the salt if the water vapour is trapped and cooled to condense the water vapour back into a liquid. This process is called distillation.
