Given

  • A juggler throws balls vertically upward
  • Time = 1 sec
  • He throws balls at a speed such that there are 3 balls always in air

To Find

  • Initial Velocity of each ball

Solution

v = u + gt

So here the time would be 3 seconds and the ball thrown first would reach the maximum height then the time would be 3/2, which is 1.5 sec

Initial Velocity of the balls :

→ v = u + gt

  • v = 0 m/s
  • u = ?
  • g = -10 m/s²
  • t = 1.5 sec

→ 0 = u + (-10) × 1.5

→ -u = -15

→ Initial Velocity = 15 m/s

∴ The initial Velocity of the balls is 15 m/s, i.e Option b

Answer:

Given :-

  • Regular interval of throwing ball = 1 sec
  • Total ball = 3

To Find :-

Initial velocity of each ball

Solution :-

 \boxed { \sf firstly \: let s \: see \: the \: concept}

Here is a juggler who is throwing 3 ball upward in time interval of 1 sec and we have to find initial velocity.

By adding time of three ball = 1+1+1 = 3 sec and when divided by 2 = 1.5 sec.

Let's solve

As we know that

v = u + gt

Here,

V = Final Velocity = 0 m/s

U = Initial velocity = ?

G = Gravity = -10 m/s

T = Time = 1.5 sec

 \sf \: 0 = u + -10 \times 1.5

 \sf \: 0 = u +  - 15

 \sf - u =   - 15

\sf \cancel - u =  \cancel - 15

Hence :-

When the juggler throws a ball then the velocity of ball is 15 m/s.
