A long spring is stretched by 1 cm. If work done in this process is W, then find out the work done in further
stretching it by 1 cm.

Explanation:

work = force × displacement

that means that work is directly proportional to the displacement.

therefore

greater the displacement more the work done

and hence due to which if we stretch it once by 1cm then the displacement becomes 1 + 1 = 2cm

so if displacement is doubled then work will also be doubled.
