2. A man bought x chair for Rs 6000. He kept one for his use and then sold the remaining each
for Rs 60 more than what he paid for. Thereby he made a profit or Rs 1200 on the whole

SP of 50 chairs = (x - 1) [(6000/x) + 60]

SP - CP = Profit

Solving this we get x = 25

Number of chairs bought by a man is 25.
