Given : Dimension of rectangular tin sheet is 72 cm × 14 cm ,So

Area of rectangular tin sheet = 72 × 14 = 1008 cm2

And dimension of cylindrical tins is radius = 7 cm and height = 14 cm

We know surface area of cylinder = 2π r h + π r2 ( As we assume tin is open from one side )

Then ,

Surface area of cylindrical tin = 2 × 227 × 7 × 14 + 227 × 72 = 2 × 22 × 14 + 22 × 7 = 616 + 154 = 770 cm2

Therefore,

Total sheet will be wasted = 1008 - 770 = 238 cm2 ( Ans )

ANSWER

7056

Step by step Explanation.

72*14*7*14

As we know 14 comes two times in equation so we will multiply

  • 72x14x7
  • =7056
