let WXYZ be the given parallelogram

area of parallelogram WXYZ = 2 x (area of triangle WXY)

now w= 30m, x= 20m and y= 40m

s=1/2 x (30+20+40) = 45

Area of triangle ABC = √s(s-w)(s-x)(s-z)

= √45(45-30)(45-20)(45-40)

=√45×15×25×5

=290

area of parallelogram ABCD = 2 x290 = 580sq m
