Given :-

  • Length of park = 1500m
  • Breadth of park = 750m
  • Speed of cyclist = 4.5 km/h

To Find :-

  • Time taken by cyclist = ?

Solution :-

  • To calculate the time , at first we have to find the distance covered by cyclist in four rounds of the park then calculate time taken by cyclist.

Calculation begins :-

Distance covered in one round = Perimeter of park

⇒ Total distance covered = 4[2(L + B)]

⇒ 4[2(1500 + 750)]

⇒ 4[2 × 2250]

⇒ 4 × 4500

⇒ 18000m

  • Just convert distance m into km

Therefore, total distance = 18000/1000 = 18km

  • Now calculate time taken by cyclist :-

⇒ Time = Distance/Speed

⇒ Time = 18/4.5

⇒ Time = 4 hours

Hence,

  • Time taken by cyclist = 4 hours

Given :

A park is 1500 m long and 750 m wide. A cyclist has to take four rounds of this park. How much time will be take at the speed of 4.5 km/ h

Method :

  • First of all we will be find the perimeter from the given data.

  • Then, convert into into km

  • Multiply the perimeter with 4 rounds

  • Then, applying formula for getting time we will put the values of distance and speed

  • Finally, we will get the time taken by the cyclist

Solution :

Given Data :

Length = 1500 m

Breadth = 750 m

Cyclist speed = 4.5 km/h

Finding Perimeter :

We know that,

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \star \:  \red{ \underline{ \green{ \boxed{ \pink{ \frak{{ \sf P}erimeter_{(Rectangle)} = 2(Length + Breadth)}}}}}}

Putting their respective values we get

\twoheadrightarrow \frak{ {\sf P}erimeter_{(Rectangle)} = 2(1500 + 750)}

\twoheadrightarrow \frak{ {\sf P}erimeter_{(Rectangle)} = 2(2250)}

\twoheadrightarrow \frak{ {\sf P}erimeter_{(Rectangle)} = 4500 \: m}

Converting into km we get 4.5 km

So, the perimeter is 4.5 km

Now, according to the question

He covered 4 rounds

And we got that one round = 4.5 km

Hence, 4 rounds = 4 × 4.5 km = 18 km

Formula for getting Time :

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \star \:  \red{ \underline{ \green{ \boxed{ \pink{ \frak{Time=  \frac{Distance}{Speed}}}}}}}

Data :

  • Distance = 18 km

  • Speed = 4.5 km/h

Putting the values we get

 \twoheadrightarrow \frak{ Time=  \frac{18 \: km}{4.5 \: km {h}^{ - 1} } }

 \looparrowright \frak{Time= 4 \: hours}

  • Henceforth, the time taken is 4 hours
